2001: Mario Murgado purchases flagging Murgado Honda and Murgado Pontiac GMC dealerships and quickly turns them around into top, national performers. Over the coming years, he would expand the company’s footprint to create a bustling multi-point dealership in the shadow of Miami’s dynamic skyline. The 8th Street campus includes Buick, Honda, GMC, Mazda and Murgado Luxury Motors. It will soon add Chrysler, Jeep and Ram dealerships..
2013: Murgado Automotive Group expands into Stuart, Florida, planting its flag in the wealthy enclave with two new luxury dealerships representing Audi and Infiniti. The Audi dealership earned the manufacturer’s Magna Society Elite award for excellent performance during its first year of operation. Alfa Romeo and Maserati dealerships were added to the Stuart campus in 2020.
2014: Murgado Automotive Group purchases Ocean Cadillac in Miami Beach and is awarded a Mazda franchise at the 8th Street campus. Ocean Cadillac will soon operate from a new state-of-the-art facility, visible from the highly trafficked Interstate 95 in north Miami-Dade.
2017: Murgado Automotive Group expands into Illinois with the purchase of Honda of Downtown Chicago and Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago.
2018: Murgado Automotive Group breaks ground on Bentley Jacksonville, the dealership group’s first ultra-luxury brand. The new Jacksonville campus will open in 2020 and also feature Alfa Romeo and Maserati dealerships.
2019: Murgado Automotive Group acquires three flagship brands in Central New Jersey, including Bentley, Ferrari and Maserati. The ultra-luxury dealerships serve Central New Jersey as well as bedroom communities of New York City.
2020: Murgado Automotive Group launches their Jacksonville Auto Campus, bringing their total location count up to 18, and expanding further into Florida, the state where Murgado Automotive Group began.
2021: Murgado Automotive proudly opens a 56,000 square-foot state of the art Cadillac dealership. Featuring Cadillac's newest dealership designs and layout and is the first of its kind in South Florida and one of the first in the United States. The dealership, which features a new car showroom with virtual reality experiences, a Cadillac-certified pre-owned showroom, and a state-of-the-art service center sits on 4.75 acres with more than 900 feet of frontage on I-95. It features Cadillac's newest dealership design aesthetic and includes a signature jewel box tower on the north side of the dealership. New Cadillacs, displayed in an illuminated, four-story tower will greet north and southbound drivers on 1-95 as they enter and exit South Florida's busiest intersection of highways, the Golden Glades Interchange.
