From Humble Beginnings in Miami

The President and Chief Executive Officer of Murgado Automotive Group, Mario is most known for how he completely turned around several auto dealerships in the heart of Miami's “Little Havana” neighborhood and has become a highly regarded business leader in South Florida. He has raised the profile, sales and profitability of the dealerships and transformed them into top performers. Murgado is now the proud owner of over 18 rooftops in 5 different auto campuses across the United States.

2001
Mario Murgado purchases flagging Brickell Honda and Brickell Pontiac GMC dealerships and quickly turns them around into top, national performers. Over the coming years, he would expand the company's footprint to create a bustling multi-point dealership in the shadow of Miami's dynamic skyline. The 8th Street campus includes Buick, Honda, GMC, Mazda and Brickell Luxury Motors. It will soon add Chrysler, Jeep and Ram dealerships.
2013
Murgado Automotive Group expands into Stuart, Florida, planting its flag in the wealthy enclave with two new luxury dealerships representing Audi and Infiniti. The Audi dealership earned the manufacturer's Magna Society Elite award for excellent performance during its first year of operation. Alfa Romeo and Maserati dealerships were added to the Stuart campus in 2020.
2014
Murgado Automotive Group purchases Ocean Cadillac in Miami Beach and is awarded a Mazda franchise at the 8th Street campus. Ocean Cadillac will soon operate from a new state-of-the-art facility, visible from the highly trafficked Interstate 95 in north Miami-Dade.
2017
Murgado Automotive Group expands into Illinois with the purchase of Honda of Downtown Chicago and Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago.                                                  
2018
Murgado Automotive Group breaks ground on Bentley Jacksonville, the dealership group's first ultra-luxury brand. The new Jacksonville campus will open in 2020 and also feature Maserati.
2019
Murgado Automotive Group acquires three flagship brands in Central New Jersey, including Bentley, Ferrari and Maserati. The ultra-luxury dealerships serve Central New Jersey as well as bedroom communities of New York City.
2020
Murgado Automotive Group launches their Jacksonville Auto Campus, bringing their total location count up to 18, and expanding further into Florida, the state where Murgado Automotive Group began.
2021
Murgado Automotive proudly opens a 56,000 square-foot state of the art Cadillac dealership. Featuring Cadillac's newest dealership designs and layout, it is the first of its kind in South Florida and one of the first in the United States. The dealership, which features a new car showroom with virtual reality experiences, a Cadillac certified pre-owned showroom, and a state-of-the-art service center, sits on 4.75 acres with more than 900 feet of frontage on I-95. It features Cadillac's newest dealership design aesthetic and includes a signature jewel box tower on the north side of the dealership. New Cadillacs, displayed in an illuminated, four-story tower will greet north and southbound drivers on 1-95 as they enter and exit South Florida's busiest intersection of highways, the Golden Glades Interchange.
2022
Murgado Automotive Group acquires two additional stores to expand their presence near Chicago, IL. Both the Honda and Acura locations are exciting additions for the automotive group.
2023
Murgado Automotive Group acquires the Motor Werks group expanding their Chicago IL presence even further. The Motor Werks group prides itself on their unique operating techniques, and we are excited to learn from their processes and grow our organization with the addition of this new venture. Additionally, Murgado Automotive Group acquires Mercedes-Benz of Midlothian and Mercedes-Benz of Richmond in the greater Richmond, VA area. The stores come to the Murgado Automotive Group from the McGeorge Group. The McGeorge family of dealerships has been a trusted partner in the greater Richmond community for 60 years. We are excited to continue their traditions in this transition.
2024
In 2024, Murgado Automotive Group reached new heights with coast-to-coast growth across the U.S. This year, we proudly welcomed Mercedes-Benz of Foothill Ranch and Mercedes-Benz of Laguna Niguel in Orange County, California, and expanded our presence in Miami with Brickell Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM—the world’s largest CDJR store. Additionally, our introduction of Murgado Ford Lincoln of Chicago marks a milestone as we bring Ford and Lincoln into our portfolio, further strengthening our footprint in the Chicago market. Coast-to-coast, these acquisitions reflect our mission to deliver innovation, quality, and unmatched service.

Treasure Coast Air Show

We have served as proud sponsors of the Treasure Coast Air Show, a spectacular family event in Stuart, Florida, home to our Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Audi, and Infiniti dealerships.

Bike Drive

Local police explained to us that drug dealers often recruit young people into their criminal operations by giving them bicycles. Working with law enforcement, we secured 400 bikes as holiday gifts for at-risk children.

Toy Drives

Each year, we purchase thousands of holiday toys for children in all the communities we serve.

Martin County Teacher of the Year

We are a longstanding sponsor of Martin County’s Teacher of the Year, annually donating a vehicle to the county’s top educator.

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation

Mario Murgado has a long history with Nicklaus Children’s Health System, previously known as Miami Children’s Hospital. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board and has dedicated thousands of volunteer hours to the health system and the Greater Miami community that it benefits.

GMC Youth Football

Murgado Automotive Group sponsors a wide variety of youth sports and activities for young people.

Chapman Partnership | Empowering the Homeless

Chapman Partnership is a unique community partnership that assists thousands of homeless families in South Florida. We proudly donated a car as part of a successful fundraising effort for the organization.

GFNF Holiday Gift Drive

Guardians for New Futures is a non-profit organization along the Treasure Coast that supports and fills the unfunded needs of maltreated and underserved youth in our local communities. Every year, this is one of our favorite ways to spread holiday cheer to those who need it most.

GFWC Women’s Club Home Tour

The GFWC Woman’s Club of Stuart is made up of women of all ages and backgrounds who are dedicated to serving the needs of women, children, and those in need in Martin County, Florida. Murgado Automotive Group is a proud sponsor of this annual event.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville’s mission is to provide lodging, meals, transportation and a community of care to critically ill children and their families who need to be near a hospital for treatment. Pink Ribbon Jacksonville

Pink Ribbon Jax is an all-volunteer, nonprofit group created in 2006 to raise funds for local breast cancer research, mammography and patient services.Our Jacksonville camups was the location for 2022 Pink Ribbon Jax Soirée. We also participated as a Live Auction Supporter, 2022 Committee Member and Co-Chair of the Soirée.

PXG Women’s Match Play Championship

The first professional women's golf tournament in Jacksonville, Florida since 1976 features two weeks of incredible golf at World Golf Village. The tournament also features women's initiatives by Generation W, clinics for all ages, and a pro-am. Murgado Automotive Group is a Founding Partner and Automotive Sponsor of this annual event.
